DAY 1: ARRIVE IN ULAANBAATAR

Whenever, your international flight lands in city airport, you will be transferred to the hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. You may need some time to relax and recover from the long-distance flight or possibly from jet-lag. If you feel like going for a walk and checking out places nearby, feel free to ask from your hotel reception for recommendations.

DAYS 2-3: TERELJ NATIONAL PARK (120KM)

After breakfast, drive to Chinggis Khaan Equestrian Statue in Tsonjin Boldog Hill, where according to legend, he found a golden whip. The statue is in total  40m high and see as far sighted Chinggis Khaan holds a golden whip in his right hand. Visitors walk to the head of the horse through its chest and neck, where they have a panoramic view. The attached museum has exhibitions relating to the Bronze Age and Xiongnu archaeological cultures and a second exhibition on the Great Khan period in the 13 and 14th centuries. Continue journey to Terelj National park – the most popular destination and the third biggest protected area in Mongolia. You’ll explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones; one of them look quite similar to turtle. Overnight in tourist camp.

DAYS 4-5 : BAYANGOBI – ELSEN TASARKHAI SAND DUNES (320KM)

Next to days explore the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes.  It is a unique place representing features of the Gobi desert, mountain steppes and grasslands in a single area; part of the Mongol Els sand dunes, which stretch from the Tuv, Uvurkhangai, and Bulgan provinces. The sand dunes are 80 km long total. River Tarnat flows in the western part of the sand dunes, it is sodden under its surfaces, so shrubberies such as willow, elm, dogwood, shrubbery grow there. In the north there is the rocky and woody mountain “Khugnu khaan” and in the south lies Mt. Ikh Mongol which defines the central point of Mongolia and is surrounded by the Elsen tasarkhai. You can ride camel or horse to explore the sand dunes. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently, and you will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Visit nomadic family, experience the traditional nomadic style of living  is giving a more deep understanding about Mongolian herders. Overnight in the tourist camp.

DAY 6: VISIT KHUSTAI NATIONAL PARK ( 190 KM)

In the morning, after breakfast drive to the Hustai National Park. This area is home to the Mongolian wild horse, known as Perzevalski horse (takhi). After lunch at Hustai camp, visit the  Ger museum about the National park and wild horse, then take short drive and hiking to see the animals in their natural habitat. This is great opportunity to take photo of these endangered horses. If you are lucky, you can see here fox, deer, roe deer, eagle, lynx, pallas’ cat and more animals and birds. Overnight in the tourist camp.

DAY 7: DRIVE BACK TO ULAANBAATAR (90 KM)

We head back to Ulaanbaatar. Once back in UB you will be transferred to hotel. If you would like to do some shopping for souvenirs and cashmeres in Ulaanbaatar, here is the chance and later in the evening, we all attend a live performance of Mongolian National folklore. Overnight in the hotel.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE FROM ULAANBAATAR

End of tour. You will be transferred to the airport.
